Joe Foral served as Bellevue’s head baseball coach for four seasons from 1985-1988 and as an assistant coach of the men’s basketball team with fellow Hall of Famer Jerry Mosser during that same time frame.

Foral had the distinction of coaching and mentoring four-consecutive BU Athletes of the Year. He guided the Bruin baseball team to 75 wins and to appearances in the District XI Tournament in all four seasons as head coach.

In his final season as an assistant men’s basketball coach, Foral helped the Bruins double their win total from the previous season and qualify for the District XI Tournament.

Foral played baseball at Bellevue from 1979-82, graduating with distinction in 1983 with a double major in sociology and physical education. He earned all-District XI honors as a pitcher in 1982.

He currently resides in Omaha, Neb., with his wife of 30 years, Mary Beth. The couple has four children, Marianna (26), Joe, Jr. (24), Louis (21), and Ellie (16). Foral currently works as a sales manager at Oharco Distributors.
