Bruins on the first team included forward Anne Marie Lind, midfielder Whitney Ferguson, and defenders Morgan Anderson and Anastasia Dascalos.
Freshman forward Ashley Maxwell of Park University was selected the conference’s Offensive Player of the Year after scoring a team-best 13 goals this season for the ninth-ranked Pirates. Park’s Dena Pires, a senior defender, and Central Christian College’s Leah Stringer, a sophomore goalkeeper, were honored as MCAC Co-Defensive Players of the Year.
Nicolarsen, Ken Hefner of Park and Mike Reimer of Central Christian all shared MCAC co-Coach of the Year accolades. Park, the 2008 MCAC regular season and tournament champion, led all conference schools with eight selections, while Bellevue had seven players honored on the first and second team.
Second team honorees from Bellevue included goalkeeper Liz Osterman, forward Jenna Pendley and midfielder Meredith Shuman.
Bellevue finished the 2008 season with a 13-5 overall record and a 4-1 league mark, falling to Park in the MCAC championship game.
