MADISON, S.D. -- Sophomore Faustina Peve has been named the North Star Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Week for her performances last week at the Olivet Nazarene University Fall Invite.
Peve won the individual title in the 46-player field at the ONU Fall Invite for the No. 22-ranked Bruins. She shot 6-over 78 in the first round, followed by a second round score of 77. Peve won in a sudden playoff hole over William Penn's (Iowa) Megan Rhoads, helping the Bruins earn a second-place finish as a team in the tournament.
The Bruins are scheduled to play in the Golden Bear Classic in St. Paul, Minn. on Sunday and Monday, Sept. 17-18. The NCAA Division II-dominated tournament will be hosted by Concordia-St. Paul.
