Jeanne Scarpello is in her seventh season at Bellevue University in 2023, following a 17-year head coaching reign at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

At UNO, she led the Mavericks to an overall record of 684-261-1 (through 2015) and is the all-time winningest coach in program history. She directed UNO to 12-straight NCAA Division II Tournaments from 2000-11, part of 22-straight NCAA Tournament appearances for the Mavs.

She led the Mavericks to a total of 12 conference championships, including six conference tournament titles between the North Central Conference and Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (2000 NCC, 2001 NCC, 2005 NCC, 2007 NCC, 2008 NCC, 2011 MIAA).

Scarpello coached UNO to the 2001 NCAA Division II National Championship earning NFCA National Coaching Staff of the Year honors for the accomplishment. She was recognized six times as a conference Coach of the Year (4 NCC, 2 MIAA) and twice (2001, 2007) named Regional Coaching Staff of the Year.

Scarpello is a 1996 graduate of Augustana (S.D.) College where she is a member of the school's athletic Hall of Fame as both a coach and an athlete. As a student-athlete she was a four-time all-NCC honoree and two-time all-Midwest Region performer, helping the Vikings to a pair of NCC Championships (1992, 1993) as well as a runner-up finish at the 1993 NCAA Division II National Tournament.

In addition to coaching the Bruins, Scarpello also runs private instruction, coaches clinics, and player camps through Scarpello Fastpitch Academy.

She is married to Tom Scarpello and the couple lives in Omaha, with their son, Dominic.
