Savannah Gunn joined the softball staff for 2024-25 season after a standout career in a Bruin uniform.
An exceptional student, Gunn earned Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete and North Star Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete recognition all four years on campus. She was twice named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and earned CSC Academic All-District honors as a senior in 2024.
Gunn collected plenty of hardward on the field as well. She was a three-time all-NSAA selection, earning first team honors in both 2023 and 2024 after earning second team accolades in 2022. In addition, she was named the NSAA Golf Glove Pitcher in both 2023 and 2024, also collecting honorable mention Omaha World-Herald all-Nebraska honors in the latter. Three times during her career, she was named the NSAA Pitcher of the Week.
She appeared in 93 games in the circle for the Bruins, making 62 starts. She won at least 10 games in each of her four seasons, pitching to a 43-18 record. She struck out 255 batters and put up a 2.57 ERA along with a 1.30 WHIP in 389.2 innings of work. Her 43 pitching victories and 255 strikeouts each rank 10th on the program's all-time charts.
Offensively, she totaled 22 rbi, scored 15 runs, and recorded 36 hits with seven going for extra-bases.
She majored in Health and Human Performance with a minor in Psychology, earning her bachelor's from BU in 2024.
