POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. --  For the fourth time this season, Amanda Neumann has been this week's Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week ending on May 1.

Neumann compiled a 2-1 record last week with a 0.86 ERA, two complete games and 32 strikeouts in 16.1 innings of work.

In BU’s 4-0 win against College of Saint Mary on April 27, Neumann tossed a no-hitter, allowing just one walk while striking out a season-high 16 batters in the shut out.

She followed that up by notching 11 strikeouts in a 5-1 home win versus Haskell Indian Nations University (April 28).

For the season, the sophomore from Papillion, Neb., is 19-8 with a 3.05 ERA in 163 innings. She also holds the single-season record for strikeouts with 203. Offensively, Neumann is batting .423 with 39 runs scored, 14 home runs and 41 RBIs.

Bellevue (28-17, 12-0 MCAC) will host the 2011 MCAC Conference Tournament May 5-6 at Hall of Fame Fields. The Bruins will open the tournament against Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Thursday at noon.
