LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Bellevue University sophomore Álvaro Moros Sanz (Castellón de la Plana, Spain) has been recognized by the Continental Athletic Conference as the CAC's Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
This past week Moros Sanz scored his fifth goal of the season in Bellevue's 3-0 road victory over Southwestern Christian University. He now has three goals in his past three games and as he has heated up so, too, has Bellevue's offense. The Bruins have won their past four games, out-scoring the opposition by a 19-0 margin during the winning streak.
The award is the first such honor of Moros Sanz's Bruin career. He shares the team-lead with five goals on the season and ranks second with 12 total points.
Bellevue (9-5-2) travels to Hastings, Neb. on Wednesday Oct. 18 for an intra-state match-up against the rival Broncos of Hastings College (5-6-4). Kick-off is set for 5:30 p.m. from Lloyd Wilson Field.
