COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Goals from Ethan Blake and Erik Rajoy propelled No. 21-ranked Columbia College to a 2-0 non-conference victory over the Bellevue University men's soccer team on Wednesday evening.

The loss drops Bellevue to 4-8-3 on the year while Columbia improves to 8-3-3 with their fourth-straight victory.

BU had more of the shots in the early going but the Cougars struck first with Anthony Hyde setting up Ethan Blake in the 16th minute for his third goal of the year.

Despite out-shooting the Bruins 7-1 over the remainder of the half, Columbia settled for a 1-0 lead at the break.

The game remained 1-0 until the 76th minute when Erik Rajoy converted a penalty for his fifth goal of the season to double the Columbia lead and effectively put the contest out of reach.

Romeo Paparesta finished with four saves in goal for Bellevue as the Bruins were out-shot 17-5 on the day and 6-2 on goal.

William Reese stopped both shots he faced in net for Columbia to post the shutout.
