NAIA Release

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Four Bellevue University men's soccer student-athletes earned All-America honors on Wednesday evening when the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2021 NAIA Men's Soccer All-America teams.

The NAIA All-America committee consists of the NAIA-Men's Soccer Coaches Association Executive Committee, the National Championship Games Committee and four men's soccer coaches. Each team – first, second and third – consists of 11 members and the honorable mention teams.

Each of the All-America teams is comprised of a goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, three forwards, and one at-large position.

Senior midfielder Toby Millward and junior forward Oumar Sissoko each picked up third team All-America honors.

Millward becomes the first three-time All-American selection and the first chosen twice to a named team after earning second team honors last season. Millward concludes his decorated career as the all-time leader in assists (35) and co-leader in points (111) while his 38 goals are good for third in Bellevue history. He is a six-time all-conference selection (five-time CAC/A.I.I., once North Star) and earned CAC All-Tournament Team recognition in each of the past four seasons.

Sissoko, a first time selection, took over the strikers' role vacated by the program's all-time leading scorer Inaki Aldao and the offense did not skip a beat. Sissoko racked up 17 goals, tied for second most in a single-season, and earned CAC Player of the Year honors. His 36 points were the sixth most in a season by a BU player.

Senior goalkeeper AJ Jarvis and senior defender Andy Wilkinson attained honorable mention All-America status.

Jarvis earns his first All-American nod. He is a two-time first team all-conference selection and twice took home the CAC/A.I.I. Goalkeeper of the Year award. He finishes his BU career as the all-time leader in games played for goalkeepers (77), wins (51), goals against average (1.01), shutouts (26), and minutes played in goal (6,977:26) as well as ranking third in saves (219)

Wilkinson is a repeat selection as a defender after gaining honorable mention honors last season. He finishes his Bruin career as a three-year captain, the program's all-time leader in games played (101), a three-time first team all-conference selection, a three-time CAC all-tournament selection, and the 2021 CAC Tournament MVP.

The four players chosen to the All-America teams represents the most in a single-season for the program, equaling the mark set in 2001.

Bellevue concluded the 2021 season with a 16-3-2 overall record, matching the 2005 and 2020 squads for the second highest win total in program history. The Bruins won their second-straight CAC Tournament Championship to qualify for the NAIA National Tournament for the third time in four seasons.
