LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Bellevue University senior AJ Jarvis (Kings Lynn, England) has been named the Continental Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as announced on Monday afternoon.
Jarvis made a pair of saves in the Bruins' 2-0 win at Kansas Wesleyan on Saturday, stopping a penalty kick in the 89th minute to preserve his first shutout of the season.
On the year, Jarvis has posted a 1.21 goals against average and stopped 60 percent of the shots he has faced.
Jarvis, a first team all-A.I.I. pick in 2018 earns his first weekly award from the CAC.
The 11th-ranked Bruins (7-2-1) host Midland University on Saturday, Oct. 2 for a 7:30 p.m. kick-off at Papillion Landing.
