Three Bruins earn All-American honors

NAIA Release

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Bellevue University student-athletes Inaki Aldao, Toby Millward, and Andy Wilkinson were each named All-Americans by the NAIA, when the teams were announced by the Association's national office.

Aldao and Millward became the first second team All-Americans in program history and Wilkinson is the 22nd (27th total) different Bruin to earn Honorable Mention recognition. Additionally, Aldao and Millward are the sixth and seventh players, respectively, selected to the All-America team in multiple seasons.

Forward Inaki Aldao (Buenos Aires, Argentina) set numerous program scoring records this season including both the single-season (24) and career goal-scoring (49) marks. He added five assists for career totals of 49 goals, 13 assists, and 111 points. Aldao totaled three hat tricks, including a five-goal performance at Tabor this season, and accounted for four goals and two assists during BU's postseason run.

Midfielder Toby Millward (Kings Lynn, England) served a key cog in the Bruins' offense attack scoring 14 goals and 14 assists while serving as BU's set piece specialist. His 14 assists rated the second-most in a single season while his 14 goals were good for sixth-most in a season. He is the only player in program history with career totals of at least 30 goals and assists with his 31 assists representing the most in program annals.

Defender Andy Wilkinson (Lincoln, England) has served as the Bellevue captain throughout the season and anchored an imposing back three that posted nine clean sheets. Under Wilkinson's watch, the Bellevue defense yielded just 23 goals through 23 games and limited the opposition to just over three shots on goal per game.

Bellevue posted a 16-5-2 overall mark this past season, won Championships at both the A.I.I. Tournament and NAIA Opening Round – Olathe Bracket, and reached the NAIA National Tournament Quarterfinals for the first time in program history.
