BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head men's soccer coach Mark Heath-Preston announced the signing of four student-athletes to National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning next fall.

Alvaro Capra (Santiago, Chile), Mario Ivanov (Sofia, Bulgaria), Oumar Sissoko (Bamako, Mali), and Ruben Bande (London, England) have all signed Letters of Intent to play at BU.

Capra, Ivanov, and Sissoko are each transferring to Bellevue following successful junior college careers while Bande will arrive on campus as a true freshman.

Alvaro Capra (Santiago, Chile)

Capra comes to Bellevue after playing two seasons at Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, Iowa. He totaled 10 starts in 28 career appearances for the Lakers and recorded one assist. Capra plays primarily as a central midfielder and central defender.

Coach Mark Heath-Preston on Capra:

"We are delighted Alvaro has signed. He brings a wealth of playing experience and will make an immediate impact on the program."

Mario Ivanov (Sofia, Bulgaria)

Ivanov spent the past two seasons at Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Iowa. He started in 26 of 29 games over the past two years for the Blackhawks. A versatile player, Ivanov has seen time as a wing back, full back, and outside midfielder. This past year, he scored two goals and three assists.

Coach Mark Heath-Preston on Ivanov:

"A great addition to the program, Mario is coming to us after a tremendous season at Southeastern CC. I am excited to see him in a Bruins jersey."

Oumar Sissoko (Bamako, Mali)

Sissoko joins the Bruins from Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, Neb. where he started all 16 games in which he appeared for the Cougars this past season. He scored four goals and four assists on the season with both totals ranked third on the team.

Coach Mark Heath-Preston on Sissoko:

"Adding Oumar to our midfield gives us a massive boost. He brings experience and a physical presence to the team. We are excited to see Oumar in a Bruins jersey."

Ruben Bande (London, England)

Bande is a forward who is capable of playing on either wing. He attended high school at Cox Green in Maidenhead, Outer London and Sixth Form at John Madejski Academy in Reading. Whilst playing for JMA Reading (2016/17) he totaled 14 goals and 12 assists over 40 games and for Sutton United's U19 and U23 teams, combined for eight goals and six assists in 14 appearances.

Coach Mark Heath-Preston on Bande:

"Ruben is an exciting talent and we are delighted to get this deal over the line. Ruben is going to add pace and athleticism to our attacking line."
