Bruins land midfielder Katit

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- The Bellevue University Men's Soccer team, under Mark Heath-Preston would like to announce the signing of Ramy Katit (Frankfurt, Germany) to a National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Bellevue beginning in the fall of 2019.

Katit is the son of Ute & Fathy Katit and plays his club soccer at VFB Ginsheim under Daniel Kittl. Predominantly a left back, Katit throughout his career has provided with a copious amount of goals and assists including district top-scorer in the 2015 season with 51 goals and then providing the most assists in the 2017/2018 campaign.

Ramy attended Graf-Stauffenberg Gymnasium, Florsheim High School.

"We are excited to bring in a very talented left sided player who will push us to the next level. Ramy has a vast amount of experience and has incredible balance to his game where he can contribute with goals and assists as well as providing quality within his defensive responsibilities – We are excited to see Ramy this fall and how he will gel with the Bruins."

Katit joins earlier signees Eli Brown (Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln East HS), Jan Scheiwiler (Diessenhofen, Switzerland/HKV Schauffenhausen), and Brandon Hardy (Huddersfield, England/Northwest Kansas Technical College), and Federick Umani Ronchi (Segrate, Milan, Italy/Virgilio Scientific HS) in the Bruins' 2019 recuriting class.

BU completed the first unbeaten regular season in school history in 2018 en route to a final record of 18-2-2. The Bruins reached the A.I.I. Championship Game, hosted an NAIA National Tournament Opening Round match for the first time, and advanced to the NAIA National Tournament Round of 16.
