Men's Soccer announces six roster additions

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- The Bellevue University men's soccer team, under head coach Mark Heath-Preston, announced today the signing of six student-athletes to letters of intent. Angel Jacinto, Cole Loehr, Andres Blanco, Edgar Guzman, Finlay Bloodworth, and A.J. Jarvis will continue their academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning in the fall.

Those six players will join earlier signees Brannon McIntosh and Scott Robson as the Bruins make a run at their fourth-straight NAIA National Tournament Appearance.

Last season the Bruins posted an overall mark of 12-4-4 (3-0-1 NSAA) en route to the North Star's Regular-Season and Tournament Championships. BU knocked off Science & Arts in a 1-0 thriller in the Opening Round of the National Tournament to advance to the final 16 for the second year in a row and third overall.

Angel Jacinto (Fr., MF | Omaha, Neb.)

"We are absolutely delighted to have Angel come and join the Bruins. We are fortunate enough to have another young local player join the program who has the qualities to represent us both on and off the field. Angel brings great energy to the team, and we, as a staff, are excited to watch him develop and push the current players within the team."

Cole Loehr (Jr., MF | Spencer, Iowa)

"We are delighted to have Cole sign his National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic career with us. Cole already had two successful years as a player at the collegiate level, and we expect him to push out current players immediately, once he joins in the fall. Cole brings experience and versatility as a player and we are excited to have him strengthen our program as we push for our fourth-straight NAIA National Tournament Appearance."

Andres Blanco (Jr., F | Estherville, Iowa)

"We are delighted to have signed Andres to join the Bruins in the fall. Andres has had two successful years already at the collegiate level and will have an impact straight away within our current team. Andres is an attacking player with great speed and we are excited to have someone join the program with his outstanding work ethic."

Edgar Guzman (Jr., MF | Aurora, Colo.)

"Our staff is excited to have Edgar "Guzi" sign his letter of intent to join the Bruins in the fall. Guzi is another player coming in with two years' experience under him. We are looking forward to adding his experience and attacking force to the team as we get ready to strengthen our push for our fourth-straight NAIA National Tournament Appearance."

Finlay Bloodworth (Fr., D | Kings Lynn, England)

"We are delighted to have Fin come and join the Bruins in the fall. We are fortunate to sign a young player like Fin; he will come in as a freshman with good experience from his high level playing background in England. Fin will be another player that can strengthen our current team immediately with the attributes he brings to the program."

A.J. Jarvis (Fr., GK | Norfolk, England)

"We are delighted to have A.J. sign his National Letter of Intent to join the Bruins in the fall. A.J. will come in as a freshman and immediately push Ben, our current goalkeeper. We are excited to have him for four years and watch him develop over the years as a student-athlete."
