FOREST CITY, Iowa -- The Bellevue University men's soccer team scored three goals in the final 20 minutes to edge Waldorf College, 4-3, Saturday in Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference action at Bolstorff Field.
Bellevue improved to 7-8-0 and 4-1-0 in the MCAC with the win while Waldorf dropped to 8-9-1 overall and 3-2-0 in league action.
Kristopher McFadyen put the Bruins on the scoreboard with a goal in the 16th minute off a pass by Jacob Cawsey.
The Warriors tied the match at 1-1 with just 16 seconds remaining in the first half on Stephen Jenkins' goal.
WC added goals in the 47th and 63rd minutes in the second half to take a 3-1 lead.
Lee Woolmore and Manuel Lira both scored second half goals before Leigh Veidman netted the game-winner at 82:56 to complete the comeback win.
Scott Robertson improved to 6-4-0 this season and notched five saves. Alejandro Olmos recorded eight saves in goal for the Warriors.
BU outshot the Warriors by three, 14-11. Veidman paced the Bruins with four shots, including three on goal.
