Pena, Waters named to OWH all-Nebraska team

Junior midfielder Emmanuel Pena and junior defender Jamie Waters were both named to the Omaha World-Herald all-Nebraska men's soccer team in a release today by the state's largest newspaper. 

In addition, Jacob Cawsey, Juan Cale, Luke Baxter, and Graeme Eaglesham all earned honorable mention honors. 

Pena scored one goal and added an assist this season while earning first team all-MCAC honors for the second-straight season. 

Waters registered three goals and three assists and helped anchor a Bruin defense that recorded four shutouts on the year.

Cale played and started in goal in five of the Bruins' last six matches and compiled a 3-2-0 record while making 27 saves with a 1.60 goals against average.

Eaglesham led the Bruins in goals (9), points (18) and shots on goal (19). He also earned first team honors in 2011 and 2009.

Cawsey recorded two goals with two assists on the season. 

Baxter missed the final six matches of the season with an injury. He recorded a 6-5 record in goal with 45 saves. 

Bellevue ended the 2012 season with a 10-8-1 overall record. The Bruins finished second in the MCAC regular season standings with a 5-1 conference mark and also placed second in the MCAC Tournament to No. 3-ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
