POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Bellevue University junior defender Jamie Waters was named the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference's men's soccer Defensive Player of the Week announced today.
This marks the first time in his career Waters has earned this honor.
In the Bruins' 1-1 draw against Midland University on Sept. 5, Waters scored a goal in the 47th minute of play.
He added an assist in BU's first win of the season, a 3-0 shut out against Westminster College (Sept. 9).
The Bruins (1-3-1) return to Tranquility Park tomorrow (Sept. 11) with a 7:00 p.m. match against Morningside College.
