Men's soccer falls at Westminster, 3-1

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah -- Westminster College scored two second half goals in just under three minutes to propel the Griffins to a 3-1 win over the Bellevue University men's soccer team on Friday evening at Dumke Field.

Westminster improved to 5-5-1 while Bellevue fell to 0-9-0.

The Bruins struck first in the 25th minute on Graeme Eaglesham's team-high fifth goal of the season on a pass from Juan Narvaez that beat Griffin goalkeeper Damir Sabanovic from six yards out.

WC tied the match at 1-1 on a goal by Anthony Alcox with 59 seconds remaining in the opening half.

The Griffins added goals in the 79th and 83rd minute of action to break the 1-1 tie.

Luke Baxter collected two saves in the setback while Sabanovic notched three saves for WC.
 
BU will play the University Great Falls at noon on Sunday, Sept. 25 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
