HASTINGS, Neb. -- Victor Costa scored two goals to lead No. 13th-ranked Oklahoma Baptist University to a 2-1 win, in double overtime, over the Bellevue University men's soccer team Saturday evening in the Hastings College Classic.
With the win, OBU improved to 3-2 overall while BU fell to 0-6 on the season.
Costa, the Bisons' all-time career scoring leader, notched his first goal on a penalty kick in the 32nd minute.
The Bruins tied the game off a corner kick by Jacob Cawsey that Graeme Eaglesham put past Bison goalkeeper Marcus Oliveira at the 77:59 mark in the second half. The goal marked Eaglesham's team-leading third of the season.
Costa ended the match on a shot from six yards out that found the back of the net in the 105th minute of action.
Luke Baxter notched seven saves in the loss.
The Bison out-shot the Bruins 27-16, including a 6-2 advantage in extra time.
The Bruins will make their home debut on Wednesday, Sept. 14 when they welcome 22nd-ranked Benedictine College to Tranquility Park for a 7:00 p.m. kick-off.
