HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Bellevue University men's soccer team lost 8-0 to No. 22 William Carey University Thursday evening at the WCU Soccer Complex. The Bruins fall to 0-2 on the season, while WCU improved 3-0.
Ryan Weir and Francois Navarro each netted two goals to lead the Crusaders.
Carl Good earned the shut out in goal for WCU. Luke Baxter registered five saves in the loss. David Lastra led BU with two shots while Manuel Lira recorded the Bruins' shot on goal.
WCU out-shot BU 16-5, including a 13-1 edge in shots on goal.
The Bruins will be in action on Saturday when they play Northwood (Fla.) University in Hattiesburg. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
