HOUSTON, Texas -- The No. 22-ranked Bellevue University men's soccer team settled for a 1-1 tie Friday night in non-conference action at the University of St. Thomas.
After conceding an early goal to the Celts in the games' 10th minute, sophomore Michael Conchie scored the equalizer with just two minutes remaining in regulation. Neither team scored in the two overtime periods.
The Bruins are now 9-3-1 overall on the season. St. Thomas, who is coached by former Bellevue mentor Aaron Champenoy, is 6-4-2.
Bellevue will battle Huston-Tillotson University on Sunday (Oct. 17) beginning at 1 p.m. in Houston.
