Kalipinde's game-by-game statistics
POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Senior guard Given Kalipinde has been named this week's Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference's Men's Basketball Player of the Week in an announcement made today by the league office.
Kalipinde averaged 14.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, three assists and three steals per game in the Bruins' two conference road wins last week. He also shot 55 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range.
In BU's 82-52 win at Central Christian College on Jan. 18, he recorded 17 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and five steals.
For the season, Kalipinde is averaging 12.2 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. He also leads the conference in steals with 41.
Bellevue (15-4, 2-1 MCAC) is currently ranked No. 14 in the NAIA and will play host to Central Baptist College (1-11, 0-2 MCAC) on Friday, Jan. 24. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
