Tyler, Bain earn All-American honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Seniors Avery Tyler and Eugene Bain earned All-American honors in an announcement made today in conjunction with the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship on the College of the Ozarks campus. Tyler was named to the second team for the second-straight season, while Bain garnered third team honors. 

Despite missing 10 games due to injury, Tyler finished second on the team in scoring, averaging 12.5 points per game. He also averaged 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per squad while earning first team all-MCAC honors for the second-straight season.

Bain led the Bruins with 14.9 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. He was named to the all-MCAC squad and also earned MCAC Newcomer of the Year honors will posting a team-leading 12 double-doubles on the season. Bain scored in double figures in 27 games and was named the MCAC Player of the Week on Dec. 13 after scoring 23 points and pulling down 16 rebounds versus William Penn.

The Bruins finished the season with a 28-6 overall record and a 12-2 MCAC mark, while finishing with a No. 4 final national ranking. Bellevue also claimed its second-straight MCAC regular season and tournament titles.
