Tyler named second team All-American
POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Junior guard \#Avery Tyler\# earned NAIA second team All-American honors in announcement made today in conjunction with the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship on the College of Ozarks campus. In addition, senior forward \#Antoine Dade\# gained honorable mention recognition.

Tyler led the Bruins with 16.4 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.4 steals per game while helping Bellevue to the MCAC regular season and tournament titles and to a semifinal appearance in the NAIA national tournament.

A three-time MCAC player of the week selection, Tyler was a first team all-MCAC honoree and along with Dade, was named the MCAC co-Newcomer of the Year. He led the Bruins in scoring in 23 games and scored 20-or-more points on 10 occasions.

Dade earned first team all-MCAC honors and led the Bruins with seven double-doubles and 9.5 rebounds per game. He was second on the team in scoring at 12.0 points per contest. The MCAC co-Newcomer of the Year along with Tyler, Dade  scored in double figures in 18 games and had 11 games with double-figure rebounding totals.

The Bruins finished the season with a 28-8 overall record and an 11-1 MCAC mark, while garnering a No. 6 final national ranking.
