POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Junior \#Avery Tyler\# and senior \#Antoine Dade\# both scored 18 points to lead the 11th-ranked Bellevue University men's basketball team to a 77-66 win at College of the Ozarks Friday night at Keeter Gymnasium.

The Bruins recorded their 16th-straight win, improving to 19-6 on the season and 7-0 in the MCAC. Ozarks fell to 17-9 overall and 6-3 in the MCAC.

Tyler and Dade both added eight rebounds in the win. Seniors \#Ron King\# (14 points) and \#Jace Fredenburg\# (11 points) were also in double figures for the Bruins.

The Bobcats' Mike Wiebe (27 points) and Jared Howerton (21 points) combined for 48 of Ozarks' 66 points on the night.

The Bruins went a 17-0 run over a three-minute span midway through the first half to break open a tight game, gaining a 15-point advantage at 25-10 with 6:17 remaining in the opening period.

A 3-pointer by Fredenburg gave the Bruins a 36-20 lead at the intermission. Tyler led the Bruins in the opening half with nine points and five rebounds. Fredenburg added eight points and four boards.

The Bellevue defense held the Bobcats to 22.6 percent shooting in the opening 20 minutes, while creating six turnovers.

The Bruins opened the second half on a 9-1 run in the first three minutes and built their largest lead at 28 points (53-25) following King's jumper at the 14:55 mark.

The Bobcats battled back, going on a 16-0 spurt to cut the lead to nine points at 62-53 with just over six minutes remaining in the contest. Wiebe's short jumper in the paint pulled Ozarks to within seven points at 71-64 with 1:28 to go in the game.

However, Bellevue made 5-of-6 free throws in the final minute to seal the 77-66 victory.

The Bruins will head to Bartlesville, Okla. on Saturday (Feb. 6) for a 5 p.m. game at No. 1-ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan.
