BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Junior \#Avery Tyler\# scored 20 points to lead the Bellevue University men's basketball team to an 84-49 win over College of the Ozarks Friday night in MCAC action at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.

The Bruins improved to 17-6 on the season and 5-0 in the MCAC and have now won 14-straight games. The Bobcats fell to 15-8 overall and 4-2 in league play.

Avery added five assists, four rebounds and three steals in the win. Senior \#Ron King\# collected 16 points, while \#Antoine Dade\# notched 13 points and nine rebounds.

The Bobcats were led by Jared Howerton, who recorded 18 points and eight rebounds, as COFO was held to its lowest point total of the season.

Bellevue held the Bobcats to 34.8 percent shooting and forced 10 turnovers in the opening half while building a 13-point margin (36-23) at the break. King led the Bruins in the first half with 10 points while Dade added nine points and three rebounds.

Bellevue closed the opening period on a 16-6 run in the final 10 minutes.

The Bruins opened the second half on a 15-4 run, building a commanding 24-point advantage at 51-27 with 14:47 remaining.

A pair of 3-pointers by King and four free throws by \#Marcos Perez\# gave the Bruins a  37-point edge with just over three minutes to play as BU cruised to the 84-49 win.

Bellevue will face top-ranked and defending national champion Oklahoma Wesleyan at 5 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 30). The Eagles are 21-0 and 5-0 in the MCAC and have the nation's longest winning streak at 39 games.
