BELLEVUE UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS
Alex Rogers

Alex Rogers

Alex Rogers was named the first eSports head coach in school history on May 1, 2017. He will direct the university's first eSports team beginning in the fall of 2017.

Rogers, who also works as a Graduate Admissions Counselor at Bellevue University, was raised in Bellevue and went to grade school and high school in the Bellevue Public Schools district. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, where he was also a member of the Mustangs' men's soccer team. Rogers earned his Master of Science in Organizational Performance from Bellevue University.

After finishing his undergraduate degree at Morningside, Rogers returned to Omaha to work and settle down with his now wife, Haley Rogers. When he’s not working he’s a loving husband, father, and passionate gamer. One of his favorite activities is eSports and he follows the League of Legends League Championship Series carefully.

“I’m excited to be part of this up-and-coming sport and this incredible opportunity at Bellevue University," said Rogers. "Our first title, League of Legends, is the most popular game in the world. Millions of people play and watch the game internationally, oftentimes at large tournaments which are held in well-known venues such as the Staples Center and Madison Square Garden. These events sell out each time they are held."

Rogers is actively recruiting and scheduling for the inaugural 2017-18 season. Interested recruits can contact Coach Rogers via email at arogers@bellevue.edu, by phone at 402.557.7611, or by filling out a prospective athlete questionnaire.
