BISMARCK, N.D. -- For the 10th time in her BU career and the second time this season, junior All-American Madison Nelson has been named the North Star Athletic Association Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Greeno/Dirksen Invitational in Lincoln, Neb.
Nelson was the eighth NAIA finisher in the Green/Dirksen Invitational last Saturday at Mahoney Park Golf Course. She was 63rd overall in a field of 305 runners across all NCAA divisions and the NJCAA. Nelson's time was 18 minutes, 38.6 seconds over the rolling 5K course, which was the fifth fastest recorded in Bellevue's school history.
The Bruins will be back in action this Friday, Sept. 22, when they travel to Wayne, Neb. for the Wildcat Classic.
