Cross country programs, Nelson earn USTFCCCA all-Academic honors

The Bellevue University men's and women's cross country teams were both named to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic teams announced today. In addition, sophomore Madison Nelson earned individual honors.

The Bruin women were ranked 43rd out of 71 teams who were recognized for the award. The women compiled a 3.449 GPA.

The BU men were 31st out of 64 teams with a 3.292 GPA.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.

In order to qualify for individual All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and qualify for the national championship meet.
