MADISON, S.D. -- For the fifth time this season, Madison Nelson has earned North Star Athletic Association Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors for her performance at last week's Platte River Rumble.
Nelson turned in another outstanding race, finishing in 18th place in the largely NCAA Division I and Division II field of 124 runners. She ran through the 5K split in 18:21 which would have been a lifetime best, and finished the 6K distance in 22:06.7.
The Bruins conclude their regular season on Saturday, Oct. 22, when they travel to Yankton, S.D., for the Mount Marty Invitational.
