BU women place sixth at NSAA Championships

WEST SALEM, Wis. -- In Bellevue University's first-ever North Star Athletic Association Women's Cross Country Championship, the Bruin women finished in sixth place Saturday at the 5K course at Maple Groves Venues.  

Dickinson State University had five runners place in the top 10, running away with the league title, finishing with 30 points. Valley City State placed second with 52 points. 

Led by freshman Lorena Ramirez, the Bruins finished with a team score of 165 points. 

Ramirez placed 18th with a time of 21:31.8. Jordyn Seidel's time of 23:29.3 put her in 29th place. Dayana Montano-Salama (24:43.0) and Diana Montano-Salama (26:07.6) placed 36th and 40th respectively. Emily Gigax rounded out the BU scoring, finishing in 42nd place with a time of 29:36.3.

The meet marked the end of the Bruins' regular season.
