BISMARCK, N.D. -- For the second-straight week and the third time this season, junior Olivia Galas has earned North Star Athletic Association Setter of the Week honors for her performances in helping the Bruins to four sweeps last week. The award marked the 20th time she has earned the award in her Bruin career.
Galas averaged 10.83 assists per set while adding 17 kills, 28 digs, and eight blocks on the week as BU swept Peru State, Dickinson State twice, and Valley City State.
She dished out 33 assists while adding six kills on .500 hitting with eight digs and two blocks in the win over Peru. Galas finished the week with 34 assists, two service aces, eight digs, four blocks, and a pair of kills in the three-set victory over VCSU.
In the latest NAIA national statistics, Galas ranks fourth with 11.48 assists per set.
The eighth-ranked Bruins will host second-ranked Viterbo University on Friday, Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. in a key NSAA matchup in the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
