Garnered honorable mention NAIA All-American accolades ... Hit .304 on the season while averaging 1.81 kills per set ... Ranked fourth in the league with 1.04 blocks per set ... Amassed 204 kills and 118 total blocks on the year ... Recorded a career-high seven blocks on two occasions, both were on the road at Dakota State and at No. 2 Viterbo ... Had 18 matches where she hit above .300 and 16 matches where she registered four or more blocks.

Galas highlights five BU selections on All-Midlands Volleyball Team

Junior setter Olivia Galas was named the honorary captain of the 2021 Omaha World-Herald all-Midlands Volleyball team, highlighting five Bruin selections on the annual squad. The OWH all-Midlands team honors the top players from NAIA and NCAA Division III programs within the state of Nebraska. Freshman outside hitter Eve Fountain was also named to the first team. Honorable mention selections from BU included junior outside hitter Sierra Athen, freshman middle blocker Haley Fleischman, and freshman libero Taylan Keefer.

Galas and Fountain earned first-team honors while Athen was named to the third team. Fleischman garnered honorable mention accolades.

The Bellevue University volleyball squad landed four members on the all-North Star Athletic Association first team in an announcement made tonight in conjunction with the NSAA Volleyball Tournament. In addition, junior Olivia Galas was named the NSAA Setter of the Year for the fourth time in her career and freshman middle blocker  Haley Fleischman earned NSAA Freshman of the Year honors.  First-team all-conference members from BU included: Galas, Fleischman, freshman outside hitter Eve Fountain, and junior outside hitter Sierra Athen. In addition, junior middle blocker Sienna Black garnered second-team recognition.

The eighth-ranked Bellevue University volleyball squad recorded a pair of sweeps over visiting Dickinson State University on Friday in North Star Athletic Association action at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. BU won the opener 25-25-20, 25-13, 25-19 before dominating the nightcap, 25-13, 25-15, 25-15.

The 11th-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team recorded its fourth-straight sweep with a convincing 3-0 (25-20, 27-25, 25-11) victory at Mayville State University Friday night in North Star Athletic Association action Friday night at the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse. 

Eve Fountain led the Bruins with 16 kills and 15 digs.

The 11th-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team hit a blistering .350 as the Bruins swept Presentation College Thursday night in North Star Athletic Association action at the Strode Center. Bellevue won by scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-22. 

Sierra Athen led BU with 12 kills and 16 digs.
Athen's double-double leads BU in sweep over Trojans

Led by Sierra Athen's double-double, the 11th-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team opened North Star Athletic Association play with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-19) sweep over Dakota State Wednesday night at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. 

Sierra Athen became the eighth player in school history to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career.
BU downs Carroll, upsets No. 6 Eastern Oregon

The 17th-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team won a pair of matches on Friday at the Big Sky Challenge including a 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 25-18, 25-15) win over Carroll College and a 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-23) sweep over No. 6 Eastern Oregon.

Eve Fountain hit .321 and led the Bruins with 14 kills in their season-opening win over Montana Tech
Bruins bury Diggers to open season

Bellevue opened the 2021 season with a sweep of Montana Tech (26-24, 25-20, 25-16) in the Big Sky Challenge at the Butte Civic Center.

Peyton Schendt will be the sixth newcomer on the Bruins' 2021 roster.
Volleyball announces Army transfer Peyton Schendt

Bellevue University head volleyball coach Trish Siedlik announced today the signing of 6-0 outside hitter/rightside hitter Peyton Schendt (Papillion, Neb./Army West Point/New Mexico Military Prep/Papillion-LaVista South HS) to a letter of intent to continue her athletic and academic careers at BU beginning this fall.
