MADISON, S.D. - For the second time this season, freshman Anna Koehler has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Defender of the Week for her performances in helping the Bruins to a pair of home conference victories last week.
Koehler recorded a career-high 31 digs in the Bruins' 3-1 home victory over Mayville State University, giving the Bruins sole possession of first place in the league standings.
For the week, Koehler averaged 5.71 digs per set while adding four service aces and six assists in BU's win over MSU and sweep over Presentation.
Koehler currently leads the Bruins with 169 digs. Her 4.69 digs-per-set average ranks fourth in the NSAA. She is second on the team with 12 service aces and 29 set assists.
The Bruins return to action this Friday, Mar. 12 when they travel to Dickinson, N.D. for a rare doubleheader at Dickinson State University, beginning at 4 p.m. (central time).
