Siedlik inks Sandy Creeks' Lipovsky

Bruin head coach Trish Siedlik announced today the signing of 6-0 middle blocker Coree Lipovsky (Fairfield, Neb./Sandy Creek HS) to a letter of intent to continue her volleyball and academic careers at Bellevue University beginning in the fall of 2018.

Lipovsky, who is the daughter of Kalee and Jim Lipovsky, was a two-time all-conference and honorable mention all-state selection for head coach Josey Nunnenkamp at Sandy Creek High School. She also earned all-county honors two-straight years.

A versatile athlete, Lipovsky lettered three years in basketball, earning all-county honors, and was a two-time state qualifier in the shot put at the Nebraska State High School Track and Field Championships, placing fourth and seventh.

"When Coree chose us as her future, we were over the moon," said Siedlik. "She wanted to pursue different avenues and we had to be very patient and honor her figuring that out. We know that she has a high ceiling still and can't wait to start that process in August!"

An excellent student, Lipovsky was a two-time academic all-state selection and was a member of the Honor Roll for eight semesters.

She plays club volleyball for VCNebraska under head coach Maggie Griffin. She helped lead her club team to the Premier Division title at the JVA Nationals in Orlando, Fla. in 2016.

Lipovsky joins seven earlier signees in the 2018 class: 5-11 outside hitter Sierra Athen (Red Oak, Iowa/Red Oak HS), 6-0 middle blocker Sienna Black (Council Bluffs, Iowa/Treynor HS), 5-5 defensive specialist/libero Sidney Craig (Harlan, Iowa/Harlan HS), 5-4 defensive specialist/libero Madi Evans (Omaha, Neb./Millard North HS), 5-9 rightside hitter Payton Fehringer (Greenwood Village, Colo./Cherry Creek HS), 5-8 setter Olivia Galas (Omaha, Neb./Gross Catholic HS), and 6-1 middle blocker Rosa Reed-Bouley (Omaha, Neb./Gross Catholic HS).

Bellevue finished the 2017 season with a 30-13 overall record, advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the 10th time in school history after finishing second in the NSAA Post-season Tournament. Bellevue was ranked No. 19 in the final NAIA National Top 25 Poll.
