MADISON, S.D. -- For the seventh time this season, freshman Maddie Squiers has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Setter of the Week for her performances in the Bruins' two wins last week.
Squiers registered her 12th double-double of the season in No. 17-ranked Bellevue's 3-0 victory over the College of Ozarks (Mo.) last Thursday. She tallied 45 assists and collected 11 digs in the sweep.
Earlier in the week, Squiers produced 38 set assists and recorded nine digs in a 3-0 North Star victory over Dakota State University.
She averaged 13.8 assists and 3.3 digs for the week. Squiers currently leads the country in total set assists (1,571) and ranks fourth in assists per game (11.3 apg).
The Bruins will host Waldorf University on Tuesday, Nov. 8, in the quarterfinals of the North Star Athletic Association Volleyball Tournament.
