NSAA Volleyball Tournament Semifinal Preview:

NSAA Volleyball Tournament Semifinal Preview:

LA CROSSE, Wis. -- The Bellevue University volleyball team is in La Crosse, Wis. for their first-ever North Star Athletic Association Tournament. The Bruins, the third seed in the South Division, play Jamestown, the top seed in the North Division on Friday at 5:30 p.m. in a semifinal match.

Bellevue (22-16, 3-3 NSAA) avenged a regular season loss to Dakota State in last weekend's quarterfinal match and are looking to continue their revenge tour in this weekend's final four. The Bruins have been playing a difficult portion of their schedule since the beginning of October with five matches against ranked teams, one against an NCAA Division II powerhouse, and several others against teams that are only just now being recognized as teams worth of Coaches' Poll votes while only three of those contests have been home games.

Jamestown (19-10, 12-1 NSAA) swept Mayville State last weekend in their quarterfinal match and are currently on a six-match win streak. Jamestown won the only meeting between these two sides back on Oct. 16 by a score of 3-1 at home.

The Series:

Jamestown leads the all-time series, 3-2, which dates back to Sept. 5, 1998. The Jimmies have won each of the last two contests between the two sides, including a 3-1 victory over the Bruins earlier this year.

Last Meeting:

Beth Walker reached the 1,000-assist mark with a double-double and Rachel Wald led the Bruins with 13 kills but it wasn't enough as Jamestown posted a 3-1 over Bellevue at the Grand View Tournament Madison Wendel led the attack for the Jimmies with 15 kills.
