BELLEVUE, Neb. – Bellevue University junior Beth Walker (Dubuque, Iowa) has been named Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Setter of the Week as announced by the conference. It is the 13th such honor of Walker's career and the sixth this season.

Walker posted a pair of double-doubles while totaling 140 assists and 35 digs in three matches (14 sets) for the Bruins who went 1-2 last week. In a 3-1 victory over Haskell Indian Nations University, Walker registered a season-high 60 assists to go along with 15 digs and six kills (one error) for a hitting percentage of .388.

Her other double-double came in a tight 3-2 loss to Doane College where the All-American finished with 34 assists and 12 digs, falling just two kills short of her second career triple-double. In a 3-2 loss at Oklahoma Wesleyan University Walker posted totals of 46 assists, eight digs, and seven kills (against just one error in 19 attempts).

Bellevue (21-19) will begin their defense of their four straight MCAC Tournament Championships on Friday with a 4:00 p.m. match against the winner of Waldorf College and Central Christian College. The Bruins are the #4 seed in the MCAC Tournament which will be held in Point Lookout, Mo. at the College of the Ozarks.
