BELLEVUE, Neb. - Bellevue University junior Beth Walker (Dubuque, Iowa) has been named MCAC Volleyball Setter of the Week, as announced by the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Bruins went 1-3 last week and are currently 16-16 on the season with a 2-0 mark in MCAC competition.

Walker totaled 140 assists in four matches over the weekend for an average of 8.75 per set and 35.0 per match. She also finished the week with 36 digs (2.25/set), 10 block assists, and 22 kills (1.38/set) while hitting .314 on the weekend.

Walker recorded her team-leading 14th and 15th double-doubles against Georgetown College (26 assists, 12 digs) and Lawrence Tech. (45 assists, 10 digs) on her way to earning selection to the All-Tournament Team at the Madonna BLT Sportswear Classic.

The Bruins return to the court on Friday, Oct. 17 when they host the College of the Ozarks in an MCAC contest at 7:00 p.m. at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
