BELLEVUE, Neb. - Bellevue junior setter Beth Walker (Dubuque, Iowa) has been named the MCAC Volleyball Setter of the Week for her performance this past week, as announced by the conference. It is the third time this season that Walker has received the award the 10th time in the All-American's career.

This past week Walker led BU a 4-1 record while sweeping through the Bruin/Premier Classic that took place this past Friday and Saturday. Walker averaged a double-double on the week. In 18 sets, she totaled 187 assists (10.39/set) to go along with 53 digs (2.94/set) while also contributing 23 kills against just three attack errors for a .426 hitting percentage.

Bellevue, on the strength of an 11-game win streak and victories in 15 of their last 17, is currently 15-13 on the season. Walker leads the team with 13 double-doubles on the season, all of the assist-dig variety, and is averaging an MCAC-best 9.87 assists per set.

Bellevue will return to action on Friday, Oct. 10 when they compete in the two-day Madonna Classic in Livonia, Mich. They open up tournament play against Rochester College (Mich.) at 2:00 p.m.
