BELLEVUE, Neb. - Junior Beth Walker was named MCAC Setter of the Week for the second consecutive week as announced by the conference. It is the ninth time in her career that she has earned the honor.
Walker led the team to a pair of 3-0 victories over Mayville State University (25-23, 25-21, 25-15) and Southwestern University (25-17, 25-13, 25-19) last week. The junior All-American recorded 71 assists on the week – tops in the conference – to go along with 13 digs, 13 kills, and two service aces.
She tallied a season-high nine kills against Mayville State and Wednesday and her latest double-double, her sixth of the season, helped the Bruins (4-11) defeat Southwestern to extend their winning streak to four in a row.
The volleyball team will be back in action tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. when they travel to Sioux City, Iowa where they will take on Briar Cliff University.
