BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Five Bellevue University volleyball players earned first team all-conference honors highlighted by senior setter Jordan Broady who was named the MCAC Player of the Year announced on Saturday in conjunction with the MCAC Volleyball Tournament hosted by Bellevue.

Broady is a four-time first team all-MCAC selection and ranks second in school history with 5,796 career assists and eighth with 136 service aces. Broady currently ranks third nationally with 1,494 assists this season in leading the BU offense which ranks first nationally with 2,101 kills. 

Bruins named to the first team included: Broady, Symone FaulknerAnnie Benson, Meghan Evans, and Sydney DeBoer. Second team honorees from Bellevue included Caitlyn Rueth and Sunny Bell. Freshman Beth Walker earned honorable mention accolades. 

The Bruins (33-9/13-0 MCAC) garnered three of the four major awards as Faulkner was named the MCAC Freshman of the Year and Trish Siedlik earned MCAC Coach of the Year honors for the eighth time in her career. 

The top-seeded Bruins will meet No. 3-seeded Waldorf College in the MCAC Tournament title match at 1 p.m. today (Nov. 10) at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. The tournament champion will earn an automatic berth into the NAIA Volleyball National Tournament.
