Bruins advance to MCAC title game with sweep over OKWU

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Three players collected double-digit kill totals and the Bruins hit .478 as the 22nd-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-9, 25-11) sweep over Oklahoma Wesleyan University in the semifinals of the MCAC Tournament Friday night at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. 

The Bruins (33-9/13-0 MCAC) will battle third-seeded Waldorf College at 1 p.m. Saturday in the title match. The winner will receive an automatic berth into the NAIA Volleyball National Tournament. 

Caitlyn Rueth pounded 11 kills on 17 errorless swings, while registering six digs and a pair of blocks. Sunny Bell finished with 11 kills and two blocks. Annie Benson recorded her 12th double-double of the year with 10 kills and 14 digs. 

Symone Faulkner hit a sizzling .818 with nine kills on 11 swings. 

Jordan Broady dished out 41 assists, while adding four digs and two service aces. 

The Eagles were led by Mandy Muncy's eight kills. 

Meghan Evans anchored the BU defense with a match-high 19 digs as the Bruins held OKWU to .031 hitting in the match.
