BELLEVUE, Neb . -- The 24th-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team claimed at least a share of the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference crown with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-18) sweep over Waldorf College Friday night at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. 

The Bruins can win the title outright tomorrow (Nov. 3) when they conclude the regular season with a 1 p.m. match at College of St. Mary in Omaha.  

Bellevue improved to 31-9 on the season and 12-0 in the MCAC. The Bruins have now won eight-straight matches. Waldorf dropped to 20-19 overall and 9-3 in league play. 

Jordan Broady, who was honored following the match as the Bruins' lone senior, finished with 39 assists, seven digs, five kills, and four service aces while guiding the BU offense to a .282 hitting percentage on the night. 

Caitlyn Rueth led the BU offense with 12 kills on .385 hitting, while adding five digs and three blocks. Sunny Bell added 10 kills while hitting a sizzling .533 hitting clip. Annie Benson finished with nine kills and seven digs. 

Meghan Evans anchored the BU defense with a match-high 17 digs. 

Abby Buehler paced Waldorf with 10 kills and was the only Warrior in double figures. 

Bellevue only trailed twice in the entire match, racing out to early leads in each set while cruising to the sweep.
