LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Seniors Maureen Wardian and Kali Schnacker, along with junior setter Jordan Broady were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association all-West Central Region first team in an announcement made today by the AVCA All-American selection committee. All three are now eligible for AVCA All-American honors. 

Wardian, who was also named the Region's Player of the Year, earned her fourth first team all-MCAC honor this season and was named the league's Player of the Year. She led the Bruins with 355 kills and a .357 hitting percentage and was second with 104 total blocks. Wardian was named the Most Outstanding Player at the Madonna Crusader Classic and was also named the MCAC Hitter of the Week on three occassions. 

Wardian finished her BU career ranked second in school history in blocks assists (452), third in total blocks (557), fourth in attack percentage (.315), fifth in kills (1,423), and sixth in block solos (105). 

Schnacker, who earned her second first team all-MCAC honor in 2011, led the Bruins with 3.24 kills per game and was third with a .276 attack percentage and 67 total blocks. Schnacker ended her Bruin career ranked sixth in program history in kills (1,418), ninth in block assists (242), and 13th in total blocks (249).

A three-time first team all-MCAC selection, Broady earned MCAC Setter of the Week honors nine times during the 2011 season, while pacing the Bruins with 1,421 assists, 36 service aces, and 10 double-doubles. Broady was named to the all-tournament team at the Madonna Crusader Classic. She currently ranks second in school history with 4,302 assists, 16th with 108 service aces, and 17th with 941 digs.

Bellevue finished the 2011 season with a No. 25 final national ranking, winning the 2011 MCAC Tournament title after finishing second in the MCAC regular season. The Bruins advanced to the NAIA National Tournament for the fifth-straight season.
