Bruin trio sweeps MCAC weekly volleyball awards
The Bellevue University volleyball team swept the weekly MCAC awards for the week ending Nov. 7 as Kali Schnacker earned MCAC Offensive Player of the Week, Jordan Broady was named the MCAC Setter of the Week, and Katy Gregory was the MCAC Libero of the Week.

Schnacker averaged 3.27 kills and 0.82 blocks per game last week in helping the 24th-ranked Bruins to a 4-0 record. For the week, she compiled a .500 hitting percentage. It marked the third time this season Schnacker has won the award.

For the sixth time this season, Broady earned MCAC Setter of the Week honors. She averaged 13.40 assists, 1.60 digs, 0.80 kills and 0.50 blocks per game last week as the Bruins closed out the conference schedule with four wins. In a 3-0 sweep of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, she had 42 assists and five digs.

Gregory was named the MCAC Libero of the Week for the third time this season after averaging 5.42 digs per game last week. In a 3-0 sweep over College of the Ozarks, she had a match-high 23 digs.

The Bruins are 31-11 on the season (15-1 MCAC). Bellevue will host the 2010 MCAC Tournament this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 12-13 in the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
