Coreas announced as latest soccer signing

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Tom White has announced the signing of Ashlyn Coreas-Marquez (Omaha, NE) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning next fall.

The daughter of Rosario Marquez and Cristian Coreas, Ashlyn attends Ralston High School where is coached by Tara Behrans.

Before her Ralston High school career, she helped Duchesne High win districts in her freshman year to take them to state for the first time in many years.

Coreas plays her club soccer at Gretna Elite Academy under the guidance of Brandon Palmer.

Coach White on Coreas-Marquez:

"We are very excited that Ash will be joining us this fall. When she joined in with our ladies, we knew she would be a great fit due to her energy and tenacity. She will add a lot of competition within our midfield and push us to the next level".

Coreas joins the previously announced Giuliani Gagliolo (MF/Omaha, Neb./Millard West HS), Bethan Cowd (MF/D, Torpoint, Cornwall, England/Murray State), Aimee Steele (F/MF, Newcastle, England/Murray State), Lily Humes (MF/D, Bournemouth, England/Murray State), Abbi Murphy (MF, Springfield, Mo./MidAmerica Nazarene), Neela Sukhram (GK, Papillion, Neb./Millard South HS), Clementine Smidt (MF/D, Fremont, Neb./Papillion-LaVista South HS), Adi Kasel (F, Omaha, Neb./Westside HS), Morgan Miller (D, Omaha, Neb./Papillion-LaVista South HS), and Mia Hurt (F, Bennington, Neb.) in the Bruins' 2024 recruiting class.

Bellevue wrapped up the 2023 season with an overall record of 12-3-1, claiming the top seed in the Continental Athletic Conference Tournament where they reached the CAC title game for the third-straight season.
