Bellevue women's soccer adds another to 2024 class

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Tom White has announced the signing of Mia Hurt (Bennington, Neb.) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning next fall.

The daughter of Nora and Cory Hurt, Mia attended Bennington High School under the guidance of Alex Saunders. During her high school career, she contributed to 63 goals and 28 assists. Moreover, she was included in the second team class B all-state in her junior and senior year.

After graduating with the Badgers, Hurt moved onto Kansas City Kansas community college where she has scored 7 goals and 2 assists as well as making all conference second team.

Furthermore, Mia played her club ball for Gretna Elite Academy (ECNL) under former player and coach Mitch Kavanagh.

Coach White on Hurt:

"We are thrilled that Mia will be joining us this fall. She offers a wealth of experience and will give us more depth within our forward line. Mia will raise the level of competition throughout the squad. We had the pleasure of playing against her 2021 and we saw the quality back then so adding her to the roster is an exciting prospect".

Hurt joins the previously announced Giuliani Gagliolo (MF/Omaha, Neb./Millard West HS), Bethan Cowd (MF/D, Torpoint, Cornwall, England/Murray State), Aimee Steele (F/MF, Newcastle, England/Murray State), Lily Humes (MF/D, Bournemouth, England/Murray State), Abbi Murphy (MF, Springfield, Mo./MidAmerica Nazarene), Neela Sukhram (GK, Papillion, Neb./Millard South HS), Clementine Smidt (MF/D, Fremont, Neb./Papillion-LaVista South HS), Adi Kasel (F, Omaha, Neb./Westside HS), and Morgan Miller (D, Omaha, Neb./Papillion-LaVista South HS) in the Bruins' 2024 recruiting class.

Bellevue wrapped up the 2023 season with an overall record of 12-3-1, claiming the top seed in the Continental Athletic Conference Tournament where they reached the CAC title game for the third-straight season.
