Keeper Sukhram signs LOI with BU

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Tom White has announced the signing of Neela Sukhram (Papillion, Neb.) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning next fall.

The daughter of Vish and Cindy Sukhram, Neela attends Millard South High School under the guidance of Shon Mosser and Abby Sturgeon.

During her high school career to date, she has cumulated 137 saves going into her senior year.

Neela plays her club soccer at Sporting Nebraska where she has won state cup twice which led to two regional visits.

Coach White on Sukhram:

"We are very excited that Neela will be joining us this fall. It's always great brining in a local athlete within the program and one who will automatically give competition for that number 1 spot. She will be a key factor for our success next year."

Sukhram joins the previously announced Giuliani Gagliolo (MF/Omaha, Neb./Millard West HS), Bethan Cowd (MF/D, Torpoint, Cornwall, England/Murray State), Aimee Steele (F/MF, Newcastle, England/Murray State), Lily Humes (MF/D, Bournemouth, England/Murray State), and Abbi Murphy (MF, Springfield, Mo./MidAmerica Nazarene) in the Bruins' 2024 recruiting class.

Bellevue wrapped up the 2023 season with an overall record of 12-3-1, claiming the top seed in the Continental Athletic Conference Tournament where they reached the CAC title game for the third-straight season.
