White announces signing of versatile Cowd

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Tom White has announced the signing of Bethan Cowd (Torpoint, Cornwall, England) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning next fall.

The daughter of Jonathan and Lisa Cowd, Beth attended City College Plymouth High School.

Cowd played her club soccer in England for Plymouth Argyle between 2019-2023 before venturing over to the states.

Beth landed with Murray State under the guidance of John Connor where she started in all 19 games and contribute to two goals and one assist in a central defensive midfield role

Coach White on Cowd:

"We are very excited that Beth will be joining us this fall. She offers a wealth of experience and will give us more depth within our midfield unit. It's exciting to bring in another player that will increase competition throughout the squad with her technical ability and tactical understanding".

Cowd joins the previously announced Giuliani Gagliolo (MF/Omaha, Neb./Millard West HS) in the Bruins' 2024 recruiting class.

Bellevue wrapped up the 2023 season with an overall record of 12-3-1, claiming the top seed in the Continental Athletic Conference Tournament where they reached the CAC title game for the third-straight season.
